About Crust Nights
Crustnights is a food blog focused on simple, tested recipes for everyday cooking.

Meet the author
Daniela Ruiz
Daniela built the pizza oven with her father the summer before he got sick, and she has lit it almost every Friday since. The fire is where she goes to be close to him. The dough is stubborn, the crust is blistered and loud, and she would not trade one night of it.
What you will find here
Crust Nights is about pizza at home: doughs that behave, sauces that take five minutes, and toppings that survive a home oven. No wood-fired oven required, though we will tell you when one helps.
How recipes get made here
Doughs are tested by weight in a home oven on a steel and on a plain sheet pan, at the temperatures a normal oven reaches. Fermentation times are given as ranges because kitchens differ.
Some links on the site are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the site may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes what gets recommended.

Every dough and topping here has been baked in an ordinary home oven. No wood-fired anything required.
